Monday, 28 June 2010 What Now?

Now that Lost is done and dusted and England are (based on performance and attitude, quite rightly) out of the World Cup, I’m in desperate need of a new obsession to keep me going.

If I don’t find something quick smart, then I’m in real danger of having some distraction-free writing time on my hands.

There must be something else out there to stop me putting pen to paper, surely?

I’ve always thought I’d be a dab hand at crocheting…

I can think of plenty of things, but I'm not gonna mention 'em because I want you to write!

Maybe you could collect words on paper. ;)

Mike – The crocheting didn’t work out as well as I expected and my cross-stitch of Lampard’s ‘goal’ was a non-starter, so it looks like I’m stuck with writing.

Cate – I’m collecting the words, just not the right ones.

Glad you're stuck with writing. Get to work now. You can start by snipping words from newspapers and magazines and arranging them randomly. I hear that's how some of the big names got their starts. ;)

Aaron – Last time I cut words from newspapers and magazines I got arrested. It was all a terrible misunderstanding.
