The new issue of Morpheus Tales hit the shelves a couple of weeks back. I’m not sure exactly where or in what sort of quantity, but you get the idea. It’s out…now.

My contributor copy made its way past the bio-hazard tape, the high stone walls, the rusted gates and the fearsome Boneyard security system and into my ink-stained hands yesterday. A nice looking thing it is too. What could be nicer than seeing your name on the cover alongside Joe R. Lansdale? I’m pretty sure that’ll never happen again.

Check out one of the illustrations to my story below.

A big thanks here to the artist, Robert Leija, who’s done a great job. I couldn’t be happier with the artwork he’s provided.

Now, if only I’d put as much effort into the story.

Whoa, dude, slamming yourself twice in a post on your own blog, yikes! Where's the self-love? A bit of cockiness is perfectly appropriate here. I know you're a Brit and all, but . . .

Now my Big Congrats!

Before I have my morning coffee I look eerily like that picture, except my eyes are red. Oh great, now I'm slamming myself. I love my morning beastly self even if no one else does! ;-)

Joe Lansdale. Yeah, some of us could only wish to land on a cover with a fella like that. Congrats!

Rebecca – Thanks a lot. Slamming myself is one of about two things I’m good at… s**t, there I go again.

Aaron – Thanks, but I have to admit, everyone made the cover and I was pretty low down on the list.

Rebecca – Thanks for your support...

Samantha – Yes, Garton’s up next and they have more big names lined up for the future. OK, they don’t pay, but they produce a nice printed zine and the artwork is always top notch – who needs money? Definitely worth a submission, I think.

Cate – Thanks a lot.

Getting a great illustration like that is the icing on the cake, I reckon. Good for you, LRB.

Cheers, Mike. I couldn’t agree more and was really pleased with this one.
